BEHIND THE CANVAS

Hey, I’m Nicole Hacking, the girl behind Monthly Paint. I am married to my best friend & have two children; a 11-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl. I have ALWAYS loved crafting, I’m pretty sure that more than half of my high school classes consisted of sewing and art. My husband and I own an Oil and Gas Industry company that we love and when I’m not taking care of my duties there, I LOVE just being a mom. Some of my personal hobbies are quilting, painting, boating, fishing, and reading. As a mom it’s hard to fit it all in, so crafting is usually put on the back burner.

I’ve done what most of you’ve done; searched for hours on Pinterest for the perfect valentine’s day craft, went to three stores to try to find the correct stuff to create it, then by the time you get home… it’s time to make dinner, do homework, and get those kids ready for bed. Therefore, putting that craft in the back corner of the laundry room. A couple of days later, you FINALLY get the craft out and complete it, and it looks NOTHING like its suppose to, let along look like something you want to display in your home. That is why I created MONTHLY PAINT! I have a huge passion for the opportunity as a mother to get to do something fun with your child. I did a couple of these canvases with my little ones and their friends, all of them totally loved it. So, my brain started to take off into this fun idea, and now we have Monthly Paint!
